Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what information the game OLE! Catch the Thief (the "Game"), available at ole.classes.ng, collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. The Game is run by Classes.ng, Lagos, Nigeria ("we", "us").
1. What we collect
When you play without signing in:
- A random game ID and a random device ID, stored on your phone or computer (in your browser's local storage), so your game money stays with you between visits.
- Your game activity: runs played, naira picked in the Game, distance, play time, challenges and their results.
- Your IP address, recorded with each run and used to stop abuse and cheating.
When you sign in with Google, we also receive from Google:
- Your Google account ID (a number that identifies your account).
- Your email address.
- Your first name (used as your starting display name, which you can change).
We do not receive your Google password, contacts, files or any other Google data.
Information you choose to add:
- A display name for the leaderboard.
- Your X (Twitter) handle, and the link to a post you make to prove the handle is yours.
If you turn on reminders (notifications on your phone), we keep the reminder address your browser gives us, linked to your game account, and a record of the reminders we sent and whether they were shown. The address only lets us send a notification to that browser; it does not tell us who you are. You can turn reminders off at any time in your browser's settings, or in the Game (signed-in players: tap your name).
If you make or play a dare ("beat me on this road"), we keep the road it was played on, your score, your display name (shown to people who open the dare link), and how many people opened the link.
When the Game loads, we note whether the home screen appeared, roughly how long loading took, and whether you left before it finished loading. We use this only to make the Game load faster and work on more phones.
When you use money challenges, we also keep:
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or older and that you accepted the challenge rules, and the date.
- Whether real money play is switched on, off or locked on your account, and when it was changed.
- Wallet records: every deposit, stake, refund, prize and withdrawal, with amounts, dates and your wallet balance after each one.
- Deposit details: the amount, the time, our payment reference and Flutterwave's transaction reference. We do not receive or store your card number, card PIN, bank login or one-time passwords; you type those on Flutterwave's page, not ours.
- Bank account for withdrawals: your bank, account number and the account name returned by the bank, plus your previous account if you change it.
- Withdrawal details: amount, fee, the bank account it was sent to, status and Flutterwave's transfer reference.
- Challenge details: challenges you hosted or joined, your score, place and prize.
- Run checks for challenge runs: a short trail of each challenge run (time, distance, money and hearts every 2 seconds), the device ID and the IP address, used to check that scores are real and that one person is not using several accounts.
- Your choice about challenge reminder emails, and a record of the emails we sent you.
2. How we use it
- To run the Game: save your game money, keep your totals for today, this week and all time, and run challenges between players.
- To show the leaderboard.
- To run money challenges: take deposits, hold stakes, work out results, pay prizes into your wallet, and send withdrawals to your bank account.
- To check that bank accounts belong to the player using them, and to stop one bank account being used by several players.
- To stop cheating, fraud and abuse, for example by checking that a run's score is possible, holding big or unusual wins for a person to check, and spotting accounts that seem to belong to the same person.
- To email you about your money (deposits, withdrawals, wins, refunds) and, unless you turn them off, about your challenges (started, time running out, results).
- To keep the financial records the law requires, and to answer questions or complaints about payments.
- To understand how the Game is used, for example how many players return the next day. We count this ourselves; we do not use third-party tracking or advertising tools.
- To reply to you if you contact us.
3. What other players can see
If you sign in, the leaderboard and challenge screens show other players your display name, your game money totals, your challenge results and, once we have confirmed it, your X handle. In a money challenge, the other players see your display name and whether you have played; when the challenge ends, they see everyone's score, place and prize. If you host a challenge, your display name is shown on it. Your email address, Google account ID, wallet balance, deposits, withdrawals and bank details are never shown to other players.
4. Game money and wallet money
The naira you collect during runs is game money only. It has no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, withdrawn or exchanged.
Your wallet is different: it holds real naira that you deposit or win in money challenges, and you can withdraw it to your bank account. Game money can never be moved into the wallet. How the wallet and challenges work is explained on our How money challenges work page.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your information. We only share it with services that help us run the Game:
- Google, which handles sign-in under its own privacy policy.
- Flutterwave, which processes deposits and sends withdrawals. For a deposit we give Flutterwave the amount, your name, your email address and a payment reference; you give your payment details to Flutterwave directly. For a withdrawal we give Flutterwave the amount and the bank account to pay, and ask it to look up the account name. Flutterwave handles this under its own privacy policy, and may share it with banks and payment networks to complete the payment.
- Your browser's push service (for example Google for Chrome, Mozilla for Firefox, Apple for Safari), if you turn on reminders. We send it an empty message so it can wake up the Game on your phone; the text of the reminder is then fetched from our server, not sent through the push service.
- Brevo (if used), which sends our emails. It receives your email address and the content of the email.
- Our web hosting provider, which stores the Game and its database.
- Cloudflare (if used), which helps deliver the Game quickly and protects it from attacks, and may process your IP address for that purpose.
We may also share information if the law requires it (for example with regulators, law enforcement or tax authorities), or to protect the Game and its players from fraud or abuse.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account and game history are kept while your account exists.
- Records of runs, including IP addresses and challenge run trails, are kept for as long as needed to keep the leaderboard and challenges fair and to investigate cheating.
- Financial records (wallet movements, deposits, withdrawals, bank account details used for payments, and challenge results with prizes) are kept for as long as the law requires for financial records, even if you delete your account.
- Login sessions that are not used for 180 days are deleted.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except the financial records above. Please withdraw any money in your wallet first. We may keep anonymous game statistics that cannot identify you.
7. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and similar laws, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your account and personal information (except records we must keep by law);
- stop using your information for a particular purpose.
To do any of these, email us (see section 11) from the email address linked to your account. You can also change your display name inside the Game at any time, and turn off challenge reminder emails in your wallet or with the link in any reminder email. You can also switch real money play off, or lock it for 7 days, in the Game's Real money settings, or ask us to close money play on your account. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
8. Storage on your device
The Game stores a few small items in your browser's local storage: your game ID, a random device ID, your best score, game settings, any run results waiting to be sent when your network returns, and the reference of a deposit you are in the middle of paying. These are needed for the Game to work. We do not use advertising cookies. Clearing your browser data removes them; if you have not signed in, this also removes the game money linked to that device. Your wallet money is kept on our server and is not affected.
9. Security
Connections to the Game use HTTPS. Login tokens are stored on our server only in a scrambled (hashed) form, and access to the database and the admin page is restricted. Payments are processed by Flutterwave, so payment card details never reach our servers. Every movement of wallet money is recorded, and withdrawals are checked before they are sent. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and your money.
10. Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before signing in. Money challenges are only for people aged 18 or older. Real money play is off on every account until an adult switches it on. Parents can switch it off and lock it for 7 days in the Game's Real money settings. If we learn that a money player is under 18, we will close money play on that account and return the money in the wallet where we can. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Contact
For any question about this policy, your information or a payment, email osii.wii.93@gmail.com.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game changes. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will show a notice in the Game.
